MOUNT PLEASANT - Megan Elizabeth Galloway and Sean Clary Pitcairn were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, in an outdoor ceremony at Dunes West Golf Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David W. Galloway, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wofford Caughman, and Mrs. Nellie Galloway and the late Ben T. Galloway, all of Bishopville. She graduated from the University of South Carolina. She is employed by AAI Pharma Services, Corp., Charleston. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Pitcairn of Mount Pleasant, and the grandson of Mrs. Shirley Clary and the late John Clary of Mount Pleasant and Mrs. Geneva Pitcairn and the late Michael Pitcairn of Bryn Athyn, Pa. He graduated from the College of Charleston. He is employed by C Tech Rubber, Charleston. The Rev. Dr. Wofford Caughman Jr., uncle of the bride, officiated at the ceremony. A spiritual reading was given by the Rev. Paul Schorran, uncle of the bridegroom. Music was provided by The Palmetto Strings of Charleston. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory trumpet gown of sweetheart-beaded lace featuring a shirred tulle bodice and sweep train and completed with a cathedral-length veil. She carried an arrangement of ivory garden roses, white tulips, snowberries, white hydrangea, white freesia, and white ranunculas and greenery with stems wrapped with champagne ribbon and a vintage pin. Heather Galloway Bell, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Anna Margaret Branham, Casey Elizabeth Pitcairn, sister of the bridegroom, Mallory Amber Rogers and Lindsay Page Winchester. MaryRyan Elizabeth Bell, niece of the bride, served as flower girl. Ryan Craig Pitcairn, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Scott Bell, brother-in-law of the bride, Elliot Pearson Hillcock, Michael Dale Pitcairn, cousin of the bridegroom, and Spencer Alan Strachan. Ushers were Andrew Jenkins Hardman, Westin Pitcairn Lord, and Austin Gregory Pitcairn and Brayden Jack Pitcairn, cousins of the bridegroom. David Matthew Bell, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. The bride's parents held the reception at the Dunes West Golf Club. The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal dinner at their home in Mount Pleasant. Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple will reside in Mount Pleasant.
