Singleton Jane Reh Singleton, 88, wife of Willie B. Singleton Jr., died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Rochester, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late William G. and Mary Jane Fink Reh. Mrs. Singleton was a member of Sumter First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Hope Sunday School Class and Celebration Singers. Prior to her retirement in 1998, she served as executive vice-president of Heineke Instruments and Jet-Vac Sanitary Services. Mrs. Singleton especially loved her grandchildren, spending time in the garden tending to her roses, her German Shepherds, and riding horses. Survivors besides her husband of 41 years include three children, William B. Singleton (Cindy) and Christine Seward (Art), both of Orlando, Fla., and Grace S. Barkley of Sumter; seven grandchildren, Trey Singleton, Parker Singleton, Landon Bradshaw, Amanda Ramos, James Bradshaw, Joey Barkley and Billy Barkley; four great-grandchildren, Kaleb Ramos, Logan Ramos, Mason Ramos and Clint Barkley; a special friend, Daisy Fricker; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sumter First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Clanton officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the Casey Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hope Sunday School Class and Casey Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Global Missions Fund, 107 E. Liberty St., Sumter, SC 29150, or to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, National Processing Center, Attn: Honor & Memorial Gifts, P.O. Box 1245, Albert Lea, MN 56007-9976.
