The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Willis Cantey Jr. of Columbia, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Nancy Moorer Cantey, the late Mr. James Willis Cantey, Mrs. Bernice Haselden Sligh and Mr. Hugh Lee Sligh, all of Columbia. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Roanoke College and is a graduate of Heathwood Hall Episcopal School. She is a Registered Nurse with the Adult Cardiac Telemetry Unit at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Davis Ferguson of Glade Hill, Virginia, is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Edwin Scott of Glade Hill, and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Washington Ferguson of Ferrum, Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Roanoke College and is a graduate of Franklin County High School. He is the Food and Beverage Manager for the Fillmore Charlotte and Uptown Amphitheater in Charlotte, N.C. Mrs. Childs Cantey Thrasher, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. The bride's attendants were Mrs. Susanne Buck Cantey, sister-in-law of the bride; Mrs. Brandi Ferguson Abner and Mrs. Amanda Ferguson Jennings, sisters of the groom; Mrs. Taylor Ellzey Babcock; Miss Jenny Anderson Draffin; Mrs. Lindsey Sweatman Foy and Mrs. Lillian Boland Glass. Mr. George David Ferguson, father of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Mr. James Willis Cantey III, brother of the bride; Mr. Willie Anthony Arrington; Mr. Jerome Michael Cain; Mr. Brad Allen Fralin; Mr. Trung Tan Nguyen; Mr. Travis Tolbert Poage; and Mr. Tyson James Poage.
