| HIST | 12 Lawton Circle Henrietta O. Hinson Henrietta O. Hinson, 90, widow of James Lawrence Hinson, died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at NHC Healthcare. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Minnie Lee Hood Oxendine. Mrs. Hinson was an avid gardener and was a very loving and giving person. She was a Baptist. Survivors include a stepson, James Sing Hinson of Sumter; a sister, Evelyn McCarty of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Al Sims and the Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 12 Lawton Circle. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of NHC Healthcare, Dr. Arland Compton, and to caregivers, Alma and Louise.
