The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wilkie, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wilkie Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Felder Jr., all of Sumter. She is employed by Sumter School District. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Deaton, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Furman Grooms, Floyd Deaton and Ms. Liz Amerson, all of Sumter. He is employed by Sumter Plant of Continental Tire the Americas. The Rev. Gene Mosier officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by aunt of the bride, Cheryl Felder, pianist; and cousin of the bride, Caroline Felder, violinist. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a beautifully detailed gown featuring a fitted bodice and chiffon skirt with hand-beaded lace. Brandi Deaton, sister of the bridegroom, served as maid of honor, with Kerrie Joos, sister of the bride, as matron of honor. Aubrey Rickard, cousin of the bride, and Kelsey Baker served as bridesmaids. Natalie Joos, niece of the bride, served as flower girl. Daniel Lyles, cousin of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Dillon Ellis, Aaron Cunningham and Brent Atkinson. Also participating were Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Rickard. The bride's parents held the reception in the church fellowship hall. The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party in the church fellowship hall. Following a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, the couple resides in Sumter.
