Burial followed in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Chaplin Brian Ogburn officiated. The family received friends Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Stone Pavilion, CM Tucker Nursing Center, Attn: Maria Barerra, 2200 Harden Street, Columbia, SC 29203 or KershawHealth Hospice, 214 Battleship Road, Camden, SC 29020. Mr. Sill passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Born June 24, 1927, in Chester, S.C., he was a son of the late John William Sill and Henrietta Hood Mobley. Mr. Sill served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He owned his own real estate company and residential building business for more than 40 years. He was a member of the Camden Shrine Club, Jamil Shrine Temple, Kershaw Masonic Lodge #29 and the York Rite. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Marie S. Sill; their children, Elaine S. Rowles (Everett) of Lugoff, Jean S. Jones (Stephen) of Moncks Corner, S.C., Roy Douglas Sill (Donna) of Atlanta, Ga., Virginia T. Butler (John) and Dawn T. Barber (Jack) of Lexington, S.C., Michael D. Sill (Ginny) of Louisville, Ky., and Hope S. Munn (Aaron) of Lugoff; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Edward, John, and Robert; and sisters, Wilma Rhame and Sarah Christmas.
