Posted Thursday, December 24, 2020 6:00 am MYRTLE BEACH - Charles "Charley" Henry Driggers Sr., 80, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at South Strand Emergency Department in Myrtle Beach. Along with his parents, Charley is reunited in death with his mother-in-law, Helen Schwab Walker; brother, Billy Driggers; brother-in-law, George Palicka; grandson, Blake Driggers; and niece, Debbie Palicka. Charley is survived by his wife, Helen "Ree" Schwab Driggers of Myrtle Beach; sons, Charles H. Driggers Jr. and his wife, Jackie, of Irmo, David Driggers of Atlanta, Walt Driggers and his wife, Gingi, of Sumter, Charley Driggers and his wife, Michele, of Myrtle Beach; and grandchildren, Morgan (Reed), Haley, Heather (Cam) and Mary Beth; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Millie; sisters, Mildred Palicka of Alcolu and Eunice Fuller and her husband, Dick, of Hendersonville, North Carolina; godsons, Matthew Bryan and Jamie Bryan, both of Ruffin; his adoring canine fur babies, Doc, Palo and Dixie; and kitties, Yellow Tail, Bootsie and Big Red. A Celebration of Charley's life will be held at Timberlake Baptist Church, 9850 SC-707, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588. The date and time will be announced when finalized. Please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations in Charley's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 S. Danny Thomas Blvd., Memphis, TN 38105.
