The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Wendell Ardis, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter R. Hedrick and Mr. and Mrs. Willis D. Ardis, all of Sumter. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George M. Ferguson of Sumter, and the grandson of Mrs. Mary E. Ridgeway and the late William R. Ridgeway of Sumter, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ferguson of Little River. The Rev. Jim Johnson officiated at the double-ring, candlelight ceremony. Music was provided by Joanne Spigner, pianist; Justin Shumpert, pianist, vocalist and guitarist; and Mark Christmas and Missi Nance, vocalists. Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a formal diamond white gown of beaded alencon lace featuring a fitted drop waist that fell into a modified A-line skirt enhanced with a scalloped hem, and a low V-back with a semi-cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of brightly colored Gerbera daisies accented with green roses and babies' breath. Tori M. Johnson, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kala Anderson, Kala Floyd, Mandy Wilson, cousin of the bridegroom, and Kelly Krouse. Layken Cain served as flower girl. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Aaron Johnson, Kalab Dubose, Jamie Nance and David Strickland. Will Wilson served as ring bearer. The bride's parents held the reception at the church reception hall. The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at the church reception hall. Following a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Sumter.
