- Henry Crouthers was my Grandfather and a wonderful one he was. I lived with him and Granny Crouthers until he died in 1957. He was a carpenter by trade and a very handy man. He was quiet and thoughtful. I understand from my mother Eula Crouthers he was quite a dapper dresser when he was younger and loved to take my Granny Crouthers dancing. He was very tall and lean, he had beautiful teeth and loved to eat hard candy. He died in 1957 from a heart attack. Joan Linam
