| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina Everett Louis Faulling December 28, 1960 ~ July 5, 2023 (age 62) Sumter, SC… Everett Louis Faulling, age 62, beloved husband of 42 years to Elaine Faulling, died on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at his residence. Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late Louis Faulling and Eva Bell Faulling. Everett graduated from Sumter High School in 1979. He then worked and managed Hodges Exxon for over 20 years until he purchased it and became the owner and operator of Wesmark Service Center. Everett loved cars, collecting many different types of collectables and he mostly enjoyed cooking and grilling for his family and friends. He was a true friend to most everyone that he met and was always helping others. However, his true joy in life came from spending time with his family and close friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife Elaine, he is survived by; a daughter, Brook Faulling Aycock (Patrick) of Sumter; two sons, Rett Faulling (Tonia, Rachel) of Pickens, and Sonny Geddings (Susan) of Sumter; a brother, Tim Faulling (Mandy) of Sumter; three sisters, Libby Faulling, Katherine Faulling, and Jane Faulling Moses, all of Sumter; eight grandchildren, Tony, Zachary, Josi, Kaitlynn, Tillman, Carson, Meredith, and Lily; his mother-in-law, Hazel Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Gene Faulling and his father-in-law, Frank Wilson. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 12:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Barnette Officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 10:00-12:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
