Barbara was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, on April 30, 1949, to the late J.R. and Elizabeth Mitchell. Barbara graduated from Fort Payne High School in 1967. She was the owner of S&W Used Cars in Sumter for many years. She is survived by: her sister, Doris Mitchell Jones, and brother-in-law, Robert Jones; two grandchildren, Zhana Brea Scott Ledwell and her husband, Douglass Ledwell, and Jasmine Tye Scott; and two great-grandchildren, Carter Ledwell and Bexlee Pratt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael G. White Sr., and her daughter, Stacie Scott. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Calvary Nazarene Church Cemetery. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements. [1] | |
