A 2004 graduate of Stratford Academy, she received a bachelor of arts cum laude in religion and cultural anthropology from Duke University in 2008. She is studying at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and plans to finish her doctor of medicine in May 2014. The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kingsley Gorman of Atlanta, Ms. Donalyn Mae Paine of Clinton Township, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Herbert Paine of Utica, Mich. A 2001 graduate of Stockbridge High School, he received a bachelor of science in engineering with specialization in industrial and systems from Mercer University in 2006.
