Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Green Bay Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sanders Cemetery, directed by Jefferson Funeral Home Service Inc. of Lynchburg. John was the second son of Alex and Annie R. Hannah. He was born in Lynchburg. His family relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, when he was an infant. He attended Baltimore city public schools. He also attended Community Baptist Church and New Bethlehem Baptist Church, both in Baltimore. John worked with the International Longshoreman's Association for approximately 30 years and was also a long distance truck driver. He is survived by three sisters; one aunt; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
