| HIST | David Bryan "Buck" DuBose David Bryan "Buck" DuBose LAMAR - David Bryan "Buck" DuBose, 55, died Sunday, April 12, 2015, at MeLeod Hospice House in Florence. Born in Lee County, he was a son of Emma Kinlaw DuBose and the late V. Fred DuBose. He was a member of Newman Swamp Southern Methodist Church and was a self-employed farmer. David served in a leadership role in various positions in his church, and in service to the Lord. The love of his life was the church, his family, and great friends. He also loved driving a tractor, farming, and taking wonderful care of his mother, family, and friends. Survivors include his mother, Emma K. DuBose; a brother, Freddie DuBose (Deborah); great-nephews, Andrew W. Troublefield (Dawn) and Mark A. Troublefield; great-nieces, Gracie J. Troublefield and Julia E. Troublefield; aunts, Barbara Ann DuBose, Joyce Christmas (Bill), Shelby Jean Christmas, Alice Owens, and Lois Hayes; a special cousin, Marie Segars; many loving cousins and extended family; a special friend and co-worker, Leland Carraway; and special friends, Jo Ann Windham and family. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at Newman Swamp Southern Methodist Church, 1037 Lee State Park Rd., Lamar, with the Rev. Chuck Alford and the Rev. Curtis DuBose officiating. Burial will be in the Cypress Cemetery. The Southern States "Gang" will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1891 Cypress Rd., Lamar. Memorials may be made to Newman Swamp Southern Methodist Church, 1037 Lee State Park Rd., Lamar, SC 29069. Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements.
