| HIST | of Alcolu, South Carolina JESSIE LAURA SPIGNER MCCABE Posted Tuesday, April 5, 2022 6:00 am ALCOLU - Jessie Laura Spigner McCabe, 102, widow of Edward Earl McCabe Sr., died on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at her home. Born on Aug. 23, 1919, in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Labon Chapell Spigner and Jessie Mitchum Spigner. She was a member of Clarendon Baptist Church. She is survived by four children, Loretta Prescott and Edward McCabe Jr., both of Alcolu, and David McCabe (Frankie) and Terry McCabe, both of Manning; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, a great-grandson and six siblings. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Trinity Cemetery with the Rev. Pat Goodwin officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Trinity United Methodist Church and other times at the residence, 2031 Tearcoat Road, Alcolu.
