The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Collins Jr. of Sumter, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Barbara Fagan of Waltham, Massachusetts, and Mrs. Thelma Collins and the late Mr. John A. Collins of Brookline, Massachusetts. She graduated with a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences from the University of South Carolina. She is employed by Carolina Retina Center in Sumter. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless lace gown with a sweetheart neckline, empire waist, and sweep train adorned with white pearls and sequins accented with a white pearl and rhinestone satin sash and back with covered satin buttons as a finishing touch. She carried a bouquet of white roses, white carnations and white hydrangeas. Kristine Marie Trautsch and Katie Rose Player, sisters of the bride, served as matrons of honor.
