Horne, Sr. died on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her residence. Born in Ft. Worth, Texas, she was the daughter of the late, Freddie Caldwell and Emma Gene Caldwell. Vickie had a wonderful and loving heart and loved all animals. She had one of the toughest but most rewarding jobs of raising six children. She was always willing to take in anyone in need and help anyway possible. She loved her family and will be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed dearly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are: three sons, Darby Tucker of Cleburne, TX and Matthew Horne and his wife Samantha and Marty Horne all of Sumter; four daughters, Melisa Horne and Joey Wisman, Melinda Horne, all of Sumter; Tracy Horne Bentley and her husband James of Summerville and Dana Hill of Sumter; one brother, Kevin Caldwell of Corpus Christy, TX; one sister, Belinda Brynaert of Montesano, WA; twenty grandchildren, Dakota, Kamryn, Kaylie, Dalton, Justin, Alyssa, Sabastian, Taysia, Dailyn, Bryleigh, Pressley, Austin, Gracie, Lucy, Lucas, Dallas, Haileigh, Bretta, Chandler and Carlyn and three great-grandchild, Eden Marie, Jordan and Kameron. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Mark G. Horne and granddaughter, Brystol Horne. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Green Acres Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Mark Barnette officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 3-5 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.  [2]
