JORDAN Frances Furman Jordan, 83, of Charleston, a retired civil service employee with the Charleston Air Force Base, died Tuesday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Church of the Holy Communion. Burial will be private, according to Stuhr’s Downtown Chapel. Mrs. Jordan was born in Charleston, a daughter of Frank H. Furman and May Johnson Furman Belser. She was a member of Church of the Holy Communion. She was a graduate of Memminger High School and the widow of John M. Jordan. Surviving are a daughter, Frances J. Hancock of Florence; two sons, John M. Jordan Jr. of Charleston and William H. Jordan of Wadmalaw Island; a sister, Charlotte F. O’Neal of LaQuinta, California; five grandchildren; and 10 great grand-children.
