Weatherly, 90 and widow of Erasmus A. Weatherly died Friday, April 3, 1998 at a local nursing center. Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Singleton and Juddy Richardson Singleton. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Ervin and Robert Weatherly, both of Sumter, and Gene Weatherly of Wedgefield; a daughter, Lillian W. Revenaugh of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren (should be great-great-grandchildren). She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Weatherly McGee, and a son, Hubert A. Weatherly. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Frank Copeland officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Weatherly, 1821 Pheasant Road. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Source gives her name as Tannie McLendon- where does McLendon come from.
