• Notes

  Matthew Jr., returned to Darlington County to live. He served in the War of 1812. Though Matthew was not as wealthy as some of the other Brunsons, he lived in comfort with his family all of his life in Darlington District and left many descendants of note. He died at his home on 10 May 1855 and was buried in the family graveyard where a half acre is still designated as belonging to “Matthew Brunson’s descendats.” His wife, who died before her husband, is buried by his side. I will only follow Matthew’s son Peter Alexander’s line. [3]
