JACKIE D. LOWDER Sr.
MANNING -- Jackie David Lowder Sr., 67, widower of Ruby Ann Bagnal Lowder, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence.
Born March 12, 1942, in Charleston, he was a son of the late McQuin David and Mattie Barnes Lowder. He attended Grace Christian Fellowship Church and Union United Methodist Church. He was a logging operator in the timber business.
Surviving are a son, Jack D. Lowder Jr. and wife, Rachel, of Manning; a daughter, Jeannie Graham and husband, Danny, of Florence; four grandchildren, Asheton Chowdhary and husband, Billy, Whitney Ridgill, Graci Lowder and Emme Lowder; a step-grandson, Trenton Graham of St. Stephen; two sisters, Judy Haley and Gloria Lowder; two brothers, Sam Lowder and Pete Lowder; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mary Wagner.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Union United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Michael E. Murdoch and the Rev. Carl Ritter officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Brunson Funeral Home of Manning and other times at 1829 N. Brewington Road, Manning.
