| HIST | David R. Benton Jr. ALCOLU — David Randall Benton Jr., 35, husband of Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Hutchinson Benton, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Born March 28, 1977, in Manning, he was a son of David Randall Sr. and Darlene Geddings Benton. He was a construction worker and a member of New Start Community Church. Surviving in addition to his wife of Alcolu and his parents of the Home Branch community of Manning are two sons, David Randall Benton III and Gabriel Edward Adam Benton of the home; a sister, Linda Alsbrooks and her husband, Eddie, of Home Branch; a brother, Shea Benton of the Home Branch community of Manning; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Dale Turner officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of Martha Hutchinson, 1087 Covet St., S.C. 261, Manning.
