Thames Sr. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and an employee of Crescent Xcelite. Surviving are his wife, Vicki Thames; sons Walter Jr., and Briton Thames, both of Sumter; a daughter, Michelle Farran of Sumter; his mother of Sumter; brothers, Myles Thames Jr., of Hartsville, and Julius Thames of Sumter; a sister, Deloris McCoy of Sumter; and four grandchildren.
