Born on June 23, 1940, in Sumter, he was a son of the late John Gordon Weatherly and Gladys Roberson Weatherly. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Exide. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Juanita Arrants Weatherly; three children, Angela Green of Sumter, Alan Weatherly of Marion and Suzie Hancock (Tracy) of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Odell Weatherly (Linda) of Sumter; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Weatherly, and a sister, Elizabeth Darr. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny McLeod officiating. The family would like to thank McLeod Hospice and Prisma Health Hospice for their care and compassion.
