MOISE Clara Grant Moise, 86, widow of Harold Moise II, died Friday, July 9, 2010, at her home. Born March 1, 1924, in Andrews, she was a daughter of the late John Bynum Grant Sr. and Clara Gibson Grant. Mrs. Moise was a graduate of Andrews High School and Converse College. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter, the Bishop Davis Thomas Chapter, a sustaining member of the Junior Welfare League and The Reader's Club. She was also a Red Cross volunteer for many years. She was known for her many fine deeds and was loved by everyone who knew her. Surviving are two sons, Harold Edwin Moise and wife, Elizabeth Gonzalez Moise, of San Antonio, Texas, and Henry LeNoir Moise and wife, Dana Kirkley Moise, of Hilton Head Island; three grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn Moise, Michael Boone Moise, Kristen Elizabeth Moise; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, John Grant Moise; and four brothers, Henry Meador Grant, John Bynum Grant Jr., William Clark Grant, and James Shadrach Grant Sr. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Marcus Kaiser and the Rev. Charles Walton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 13 Glendale Ct.
