| HIST | PATRICIA THAMES ALLEN Posted Tuesday, April 28, 2020 6:00 am Patricia Thames Allen, 70, widow of Walter Rufus Thames and David Allen, died on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at her home. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late James Clinton Ingram and Annie Lee Tolbert. She was formerly employed by Rubye J. Johnson Head Start in Sumter. She was a member of Hephzibah Bible Church. Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Thames Barkley of Sumter; four grandchildren, Ryan Newman, Terry Farran Jr., Shanna Benenhaley and Kristen Benenhaley; a great-granddaughter, Kylee Hayden; a sister, Delores Ann Ciucevich of Savannah, Georgia; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Lee officiating. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements. [1] | |
