Charles Harry Truluck Jr.
Dr. Charles Harry Truluck Jr. LYNCHBURG - Dr. Charles Harry Truluck, Jr., age 77, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013, in a Florence hospital after an illness. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Sardis Baptist Church, with burial in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Born in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Charles Harry Truluck, Sr. and Lonie Huff Truluck. Dr. Truluck was a graduate of The Citadel and The Medical University of South Carolina. He had retired as a physician with Pee Dee Ear, Nose and Throat in Florence, was a captain of The United States Army in which he served during the Vietnam War, and was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Truluck Godwin. Surviving are his wife, Elaine Carter Truluck of Lynchburg; two daughters, Catherine Truluck Waldo (Whit G., III) of Hutto, TX, and Caroline Truluck Paolillo (Mark W.) of Venice, FL; a son, Charles Harry Truluck, III (Donna Klein) of Jacksonville, FL; a stepdaughter, Shannon E. Carter of Sardis; a stepson, John M. Carter of Sardis; four grandchildren, Whitson G. Waldo, IV, Thomason R. Waldo, Katherine E. Paolillo and Jacob W. Paolillo.
