Born in Sumter, a daughter of the late Mansfield and Nellie Benenhaley Oxendine, Jeanette loved cooking, spending time with her family and going to church when she was able. She is survived by three sons, Leon Paul McCoy of Dalzell, Billy Joe McCoy of Dalzell and Michael McCoy (Michelle) of Sumter; a daughter, Janice M. Hughes (Wayne) of Manning; a stepson, Jesse McCoy (Jessica) of Sumter; a very special nephew, Toby Oxendine (Joan) of Dalzell; a brother, Burgess Oxendine (Chris) of Sumter; a sister, Marion Benenhaley of Dalzell; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth McCoy, Jennifer Lynn McCoy, Zachary Paul McCoy, Paul Adam McCoy, Jessica Nicole McCoy, Billy Joe McCoy Jr., Justin Bradley McCoy, Michael Austin McCoy, Kari Nicole Hughes and Corey Wayne Hughes; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Ralph Oxendine and Burgess Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow at Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home of Janice Hughes.
