McCOY OSWEGO - Macy Padgett McCoy, 91, widow of Wesley Julian McCoy, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in McRae, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Isom C. and Carrie Elizabeth Hulette Padgett. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Reuben Lee Fletcher. Mrs. McCoy was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and a member of the Alice Andrews Sunday School class. Surviving are a son, Isom Donnie Fletcher (Margaret) of Sumter; a stepdaughter, Cathy McCoy McElhaney (John) of Sumter; two brothers, the Rev. John D. Padgett (Margaret) of Dublin, Ga., and Isom Padgett Jr. of Helena, Ga.; two grandchildren, Gina Fletcher Rabon and Jill Fletcher Shaffer (Chris); two step-grandchildren, Jennifer McElhaney Pring (Rich) and Julie McElhaney Poston (Steve); six great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James Carlton Fletcher; four brothers; three sisters; and a step-grandson, Wesley (Wes) Ray McElhaney. The family wishes to thank the staff of McElveen Manor and Ascension Hospice for their care. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Bethel United Methodist Church in Oswego with the Rev. Cynthia Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Donnie and Margaret Fletcher, 1210 Cutleaf Drive.
