PARRACK Posted Monday, April 4, 2005 8:00 pm Lydia Kennedy Parrack, 89, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at a local nursing center. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Rosser Joel Kennedy and the late Eva George Richardson Kennedy. She was twice married, first to the late Edward Mendal Kirkley and then to the late Mervin W. Parrack. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Robert Edward "Red" Kirkley Sr. and his wife, Randi, of Lamar and Arthur Kennedy "Bubba" Kirkley and his wife, Christine, of Sumter; six grandchildren, Maria Hudgins, Robert E. Kirkley Jr., Kelly Burgin, Ellis Kirkley, Kimberly Avery and Catherine Turner; and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Eubanks officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kirkley, 2645 Carriage Drive.
