| HIST | of Columbia, South Carolina Kolb-Thomas Rebecca Graham Kolb and Douglas Edward Thomas, both of Columbia, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at The Church of the Holy Comforter in Sumter. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Stackhouse Kolb Jr. of Sumter, and the granddaughter of Mr. James Warren Skardon and the late Mrs. Skardon of Walterboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wade Stackhouse Kolb of Sumter. She graduated from the University of South Carolina Honors College with a degree in English and earned a master of library and information science from the University of South Carolina. She is the youth services supervisor for the Richland Library system in Columbia. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Frederick Thomas of Aiken, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Clyde Jones Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Edward Thomas of Waverly, Ohio. He graduated from the University of South Carolina Honors College with a degree in political science and received a juris doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. He is an attorney with the Thomas Law Firm in Columbia. The Rev. Dr. John MacReadie Barr III and the Rev. Dr. James Fraser Lyon IV performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Mr. Walter Samuel Wilson, organist. The bride was escorted by her father. Sally Kolb Pittman served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Mims Dumont, Elizabeth Skardon Garrison, Kathryne Lane Knight, Lauren Cothran Roach and Michelle Singer Thomas. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were John Phillip Angelos, William Smith Brockington III, Wade Stackhouse Kolb III, Zachary Brooks Pittman, Mark Alexander Pitts, Phillip Christopher Rogers and Mark Stephen Thomas. Francis Patrick Garrison Jr. served as usher. The reception was given by the bride's parents at Sunset Country Club. The rehearsal party was given by the bridegroom's parents at The Main Room, Hamptons. Following a wedding trip to California, the couple will reside in Columbia.
