| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina DOROTHY HARVIN FELDER Posted Tuesday, March 17, 2020 6:00 am Dorothy "Dotsy" Harvin Felder, 77, widow of James "Jimmy" Chandler Felder Jr., died on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at NHC Healthcare. Born on Dec. 1, 1942, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late John Conyers Harvin Sr. and Nellie Sue Hook Harvin. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Pilot Club. Mrs. Felder retired from Santee-Wateree Mental Health Center. Survivors include two children, Susan "Mimi" Felder Mixon (Dwight) of Sumter and James Chandler "Jimmy" Felder III (Elizabeth) of Clemson; four grandchildren, Ashleigh Sharon Mixon, Kaylee Grace Mixon, James Chandler Felder IV and Mary Walker Felder; a brother, John C. Harvin Jr. of Sumter; a nephew, Chip Harvin (Carla); and a niece, Tammy Harvin. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be John C. "Chip" Harvin III, John C. Harvin IV, James C. Felder IV, Kent Cummings, Benjamin Barfield and Conner Wesley Pack. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Dwight and Mimi Mixon, 2010 Plowden Mill Road. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
