William L. Kolb
William "Bill" L. Kolb ORANGEBURG - William L. "Bill" Kolb, 76 of Orangeburg died Friday, October 12, 2012 at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia. Funeral services will be Monday, October 15, 2012 at 2:30 PM at First Baptist Church, Orangeburg, SC with Rev. Ryan Tucker and Mr. Jay Harley, nephew of Dallas, TX, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4830 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 2:00 on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home, 3379 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, SC. Pallbearers will be Jackson Kolb, Jeffrey Kolb, Robert Felkel, Jeff Nelson, Tim Kinney, Will Stork, Kyle Carnes and Lee Stoudemire. Mr. Kolb was born July 11, 1936 in Sumter, SC, a son of the late Leroy L. (Roy) and Edna M. Kolb of Pinewood, SC. He was retired from Mail Contractors of America. Mr. Kolb served in the United States Army as part of the Berlin Crisis and the Korean War. He was a member of the BPOE 897, VFW 2779 and First Baptist Church of Orangeburg. Survivors include his wife, Betsy Ruple Kolb, of the home; daughter Elizabeth Kolb Boland, Lexington, SC; granddaughters Pamela Posey, USC and Mary Carson Boland, Lexington; one brother, Jack B. Kolb, Beaufort; one sister, Jane K. Harley, Sumter; special friend of the family, Bobby Boland; and sister-in-law Ledean Kolb of Lexington. He was predeceased by a brother, Leroy Kolb.
