| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina Brown-Flippin Stacie L. Brown of Sumter and Donald L. Flippin II of Waldorf, Md., were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Grace Baptist Church in Sumter. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Brown Jr. of Sumter, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Johnnie Brown and the late Thomas E. Brown Sr., Mrs. Margaret M. Bryant and the late Malcolm M. Bryant, and the late Billy M. Harris. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a bachelor of science and a master of art in teaching. The bridegroom is the son of Donald L. Flippin Sr. of Waldorf and Mrs. Melody Farris of Hopewell, Va., and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Flippin. He graduated from Salisbury University in Salisbury, Md., with a bachelor of science degree. The Rev. William S. Shumake officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Sherril P. Ray, organist; and Jessica B. Shumake, vocalist. Escorted by her father, the bride wore an A-line white and silver gown of organza adorned with beads, sequins and embroidery and featuring a lace-up back, cathedral train and strapless bodice. She carried a bouquet of silk Gerber daisies and daisies. Katie M. Brown served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie R. Brown, Elizabeth P. DuRant and Lacey M. Stern. Haylee R. Brown served as flower girl. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Aaron C. Breeds, Thomas E. Brown III and Christopher M. Hooton. Ushers were Jonathan T. Faulkner, Jeffery S. Foster, James L. Lambert and Michael S. Vargo Sr. Michael S. Vargo Jr. served as ring bearer. The reception was held at the church. The rehearsal party was held at Cains Mill in Sumter.
