Mrs. Etters was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a retired television and newspaper writer. Surviving are two sons, Danny Etters (Melanie) and Lloyd Etters (Debbie), all of Charlotte; a sister, Norma H. "Bootsie" Owens (Lad) of Sumter; three grandchildren, Erin, Emilee and Patrick; three nieces, Beth Blakeslee (Bryant) of Columbia, Norma Abbott (Phillip) of Sumter and Linda Forrest (Andy) of Greenville; four great-nephews and two great-nieces. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Mark Durrett officiating.
