  HIST	HELEN G. PARKER Posted Tuesday, October 18, 2016 6:00 am Helen Gardner Parker, 93, wife of the late Woodrow W. Parker, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at her residence. Born in Spotsylvania, Virginia, a daughter of the late George Bernard and Lena Jane Bogart Gardner, Helen retired as owner from Parker Auto Supply and was a member of First Southern Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Ronald G. Parker (Marianne) of Columbia and Bruce W. Parker (Cindy) of Sumter; a daughter, Betty Parker Morgan (Mark) of Sumter; three grandchildren, Jennette Willoughby (Wyatt), Wesley Morgan and Suzanne Dhinoy (Nav); two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Lauren Willoughby; a step-grandchild, Sean Sutton; and two step-great-grandchildren, Michael Allen and Christian Sutton. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters and a step-granddaughter, Melissa Sutton. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Ellison Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at 117 Adams Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Southern Methodist Church, 321 Miller Road, Sumter, SC 29150 or to The Arthritis Foundation, 1355 Peachtree St. NE, Suite 600, Atlanta, GA 30309.
