DELBERT E. COKER
Delbert Eugene Coker, 57, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Lorie Wilson Coker and Juanita Jones Coker Driggers. Mr. Coker was formerly employed by Sumter Builders.
Surviving are two sons, Chris Coker (Stacey) of Concord, N.C., and Lourie Coker of Sumter; four sisters, Fay Hall, Wilma Parker, Judy Hill and Betty Batey, all of Sumter; two brothers, Roy Coker of Moncks Corner and Keith Coker of Pinewood; seven grandchildren, Brian Graham, Tyler Mullins, Cala Coker, Breanna McLeod, Kaitlin Koone, Karla Koone and Cheyenne Coker; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Runette Johnson and Esther Brunson.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends following the service at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 165 Macy St.
