RICHBURG Ray Elwood Richburg, age 75, beloved husband of Ilva Richburg, died May 17, 2010, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born July 4, 1934, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Thomas Judson Richburg and Mittie Belle Ardis. Mr. Richburg was the former owner of Ray's Luncheonette in Brooklyn, N.Y.; a former bartender in Manhattan; and the owner and operator of a taxi and limousine service. He attended St. Anne's Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather (Poppi). He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. Survivors in addition to his wife are two sons, Ronald Iacone and his wife, Mary, of Cary, N.C., and Jamie Iacone and his wife, Diane, of Long Island, N.Y.; two daughters, Deborah Horach of Texas and Joanne Catalano and her husband, Joseph, of Old Bridge, N.J.; a brother, James Blanding Richburg of Sumter; a sister, Elvia Richburg Terry of Sumter; and seven grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bullock Funeral Home.
