Thomas H. "Tom" McLendon LYDIA - Thomas H. (Tom) McLendon, age 84, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 11. Funeral services will be held Monday at 4:00 at the Savannah Advent Christian Church. Rev. Charles McLendon , Rev. John Gallagher and Rev. Danny Pierce will officiate. Burial will be in the Savannah Advent Christian Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday 4-6 at the Funeral Home. Tom was born in Lydia a son of the late Robert Sidney and Hattie Barnes McLendon. He was a lifetime member of Savannah Advent Christian Church, where he served as an Elder from 1977 2008, was President of the South Carolina Advent Christian Church Conference from 1983 1985. He was a graduate of Lydia High School Class of 1945. He was engaged in Farming until his retirement. Surviving are two daughters, Cathy (Roy) Israel, Lydia and Tonda (Andy) Edmunds, Florence; one son, Tommy (Allison) McLendon, Ballentine; Grandchildren, Joseph & Tyler Israel, Andrew & Shannon Edmunds, Trey & William McLendon; one sister, Dorothy Tollison, Hartsville; sister In Law, Ann McLendon, Hartsville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pam Shirley McLendon; Siblings, Wheeler W. McLendon, Robert S. McLendon, Edward McLendon, Sr., Dwight N. McLendon and Myra Johnson.
