Rockwood Dean Anthony Rockwood, 52, husband of Diana Rockwood, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Rome, N.Y., he was a son of David A. and Dorothy T. Rockwood. Mr. Rockwood was a member St. Anne Catholic Church and attended Westside Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was employed as a graphics coordinator at Morris College. Survivors include his wife of Sumter; his parents of Sumter; a son, Daniel L. Rockwood of Arlington, Va.; a daughter, Dayona N. Rockwood of Greenville; a sister, Darlene Rockwood of Sumter; two brothers, Daniel B. Rockwood of Stuart, Fla., and Del John Rockwood of Sumter; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Tom Burke officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of his parents, 16 Alice Drive.
