He was born in Bishopville the son of the late Wheeler W. and Bertha Grantham McLendon. He was a member of the Hartsville Advent Christian Church. Surviving are: daughter, Denise (Tony) Ricci, Myrtle Beach; son, Leo McLendon, Hartsville; sisters, Carolyn Di Salvator, Oklahoma, Sara Henderson, Florence; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
