HOLLIDAY Posted Sunday, June 12, 2016 6:00 am Raymond Michael "Doc" Holliday, 64, husband of Reda Hinson Holliday, died Saturday, June 11, 2016, at his home. Born Jan. 10, 1952, in Florence, he was a son of the late Marshall L. Holliday and Dorothy Jean Kirby Holliday. He worked at Santee Print Works, Bartlette Milling, Ezzell, Southern Welders and retired from trucking two years ago because of declining health. He also delivered newspapers for The Sumter Item. He was a member of Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife; children, Renee Potter (Jeff), Michael Holliday (Linda), Lance Holliday (Amber) and Joey Holliday; a grandson whom he was rearing as a son, Joshua Holliday; step-children, Angel Barrett (Corey), Lyssa Lovin (Joseph), David Parnell and T.J. Parnell (LeeAnna); brothers, Bobby Holliday (Debra), Tommy Holliday (Delores), Donnie Holliday, Ronnie Holliday and David Holliday; sisters, Carol Oliver and Betty Jean Sherman; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Sammy Geddings and the Rev. Charles Ahtonen officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 964 Meadowbrook Road.
